What is the story about?

Adventurous Elfie wants to see the land of "fire and ice". Together with her best friend Twelfie, she discovers volcanoes and glaciers. They meet the boy Bjarne in the forest. His Icelandic horse has thrown him. The elves are resourceful and help him and the injured animal.

Things get exciting in the lava cave! Who is chasing them? Are they smugglers hiding a treasure here? A doppelganger of their cheeky elf friend Bluei helps them on their escape. But on the cliff of the puffins she is behaving strangely. Back in the elven forest, the elves meet an eerie visitor. They were right not to trust her. Who can help them get rid of her?

There's a lot of excitement at the Elf School! The older pupils are to present exciting projects for the upcoming Elf Festival. Twelfie wants to recreate a musical instrument from Ireland. To learn how to do this, he travels to Galway with a school friend. There they meet the girl Ciara, who shows them her father's workshop. On their return journey, they discover an injured dolphin near the harbour. How can they help the sea creature?

Meanwhile, Elfie is planning an exhibition about her travels in the human world. But her preparations are distracted by worries about a friend. Bluei gets into trouble for being cheeky to the new troll teacher. And when her friend Elferic  talks about an impending change, everything becomes too much for her. How can her friends stop her from joining the strange 'gang of pranksters'?

What is the story about?

Adventurous Elfie has discovered an ancient book about the Vikings and is convinced that they still exist. Her friend Twelfie doesn't believe it. To prove him wrong, she flies to Denmark alone with her cheeky friend Bluei. What traces of the Vikings will they find there? Elfie would like to see rune stones and real Vikings sailing across the sea in dragon boats and discovering new lands. Bluei wants to see if there are any big dragons there and play a few pranks.

At Roskilde Fjord, they meet the girl Emma, who tells them about the Viking Age. Together with her, they come across an injured wild boar stuck in the forest. Who or what can help them free the animal and return it to its siblings? Will the elf friends make up before the last traces of the Vikings are found?

The adventurous Elfie jumps through a forbidden portal into the land of the gnomes. There she is captured. Her magic powers don't work here. The gnome council sets her a difficult task: only if she helps to save the sick squirrels will she be set free!

Together with her best friend Twelfie and the grim gnome Nutlet, she sets off for a wild animal rescue centre in the Black Forest. There she seeks help from the girl Klara. Will the medicine from the human world save the squirrels?

Why is the watch gnome so afraid of the elves? Can elves and gnomes become friends despite all their differences?

On their journey, the elves use modern technology and meet several children. They talk about interesting Christmas traditions and introduce their favourite animals that they look after.

A cheeky friend from the elf school has crept in unseen. Bluei is causing a stir with her pranks. This not only puts her friends in danger.
